Blue Seal uses six different shades of blue with yellows and reds in this watercolor – a realistic impression painting.
This was painted in a location between Galveston, TX and Houston, TX near a canal where these beautiful boats were passing. This particular sailboat passed with grace and a True Blue Seal. We used the phrase True Blue Seal when we were growing up in the Philippines; it meant something was truly American, like the American cigarettes that had a true blue seal on the package.
Took me six hours in my studio to complete this painting!
