Opening Reception Event for “Escapes”

See the world through a photographer’s eye at the first exhibit of 2015 at the Winter Garden Art Association (WGAA). This upcoming exhibit titled, “ESCAPES”, features interesting and captivating original photographs taken all over the world. The featured Artist for this exhibit is Paul Gerding.

You are invited to The Opening Reception for “ESCAPES” on Thursday, January 8th, 5:30 – 8:00 pm at 127 SOBO Art Center to preview this exhibit and meet the Artists. Please join us for an inspiring evening with the community where refreshments and beverages will be provided. This exhibit will run from January 8 – 31st.

Paul Gerding graduated from FSU where he majored in photography. He began his career as a professional photographer, where his first job was for The Walt Disney Company documenting the building of Disney World a year before its opening. After four years with Disney, he became a freelance photographer, which took him on a lifelong journey full of new adventures.  Paul loves to visualize and photograph things and places in his own style.

Paul Gerding’s photographs for the “ESCAPES” exhibit are from several of the exciting places he has visited. Paul and his wife Kaye have travelled extensively throughout Italy, France, Austria, Abaco and Mexico.  Their favorite country to visit is Italy and their most special city is Florence.

Paul is an avid supporter of the Winter Garden Art Association at 127 SOBO Art Center.  His favorite saying is  “You miss every shot you don’t take!”

In addition, the month of January is the 2nd Annual Art Marathon. The Public is encouraged to participate in a month long Spontaneous Open Studio at 127 SoBo Art Center in the Studio Room throughout the entire month. Artwork produced during Art Marathon will be on exhibit in the Studio Room through February 28th.
