In these complicated and conflicting times, let’s take a look at the world around us and our social situations through the eyes of the Artist. Join the Winter Garden Art Association (WGAA) for the upcoming exhibit entitled, “Going Deeper”, featuring artworks with hidden or obvious “Deep” meanings. Featured artist for the March Exhibit is Chad Pollpeter.
From his roots beginning in America’s Mid-West, Pollpeter continues to work in acrylic paint on canvas. His paintings evolve as he creates compelling portraits of humankind that express the cyclical nature of life. Much of his work reflects relationships and experiences that have either built up, support, break down or possibly even change our views or values. His focus is not on outer influences that trigger emotions. Instead, Pollpeter focuses on inner reflective quality. There is a rhythm to life, but this rhythm is easily disrupted. As humans we try to control our environment, our lives and our world. We can really only react, adjust and continue to move forward.
Please plan to attend the Opening Reception for “GOING DEEPER” on Thursday March 5th, 5:30 – 8:00 pm at 127 SoBo Art Center to preview this exhibit and meet all of the Artists. Light refreshments and beverages will be served. Join us for an inspiring evening with the community. This exhibit will run March 5 – 28, 2015.
